In response to valuable feedback and requests from participants worldwide, MedGU 2026 registration fees have been revised to facilitate wider participation and offer more accessible and flexible options for our international scientific community, including dedicated reduced fees for participants from low- and lower-middle-income countries.

* A copy of a student enrollment card for 2026 is essential.
* The registration fee for non-scientist companions (spouses and/or family members)
to attend the conference (including free access to coffee breaks, lunches, and the
icebreaker or welcome dinner) is 150 EUR per person. To participate in the social
program events, a ticket must be purchased during online registration.
* All prices include taxes and fees; however, registrants must pay any transfer
costs incurred by banks.
Registration fee covers during the conference days (see Scientific Program and Social Program for more details about the optionally extra tickets):
- Welcome Reception.
- Ice breaker.
- Coffee breaks.
- Lunches.
- MedGU bag (with notebook, pen, pin, souvenir, etc.).
- Certificate of participation.
In addition to:
- Publish (free of charge) in the proceedings and special issues (see Publications).
- English revision (free of charge) of your proceedings (short) paper.
- Certificate of publication (after acceptance in Springer ASTI series, indexed in Scopus).
Please be informed that:
- The registration fee does not include accommodation expenses or participation in Social Program activities, except for the Icebreaker Reception.
- Cairo has a broad variety of hotel options, and it is easy to find where to stay on a budget in this city.
- It is advised that you reserve your lodging several months in advance to prevent price increases.
- The registration fee cannot be paid on-site at the registration desk. Payment can only be made online.

If you cannot attend the conference in person but still wish to have your abstract presented and your work considered for publication in the proceedings and special issues, we offer a virtual presentation option for your convenience. Virtual presenters are expected to record a voice-over PowerPoint (more details will be sent after online registration) and submit the file online (link will be sent after payment of the registration fee by the deadline). Virtual presenters are still required to submit an abstract and, if they wish, an extended abstract before the deadlines (see Important Dates), and at least one author of each accepted abstract must register and pay the registration fee. Your conference documents will be sent to your email after the conference.
Plan 3: Publication Only Publish in the (indexed) proceedings without presenting or attending

- If your extended abstract (short paper) is accepted, it may be published in the conference proceedings by Springer (ASTI series, indexed in Scopus), even if you do not attend or present at the conference.
- In this case, a fee of €180 (€130 for participants from low- and lower-middle-income countries) must be paid after registering online (see Important Dates). The fee covers the costs of editorial handling, peer-review evaluation, publication, and indexation of your paper (see Author Guidelines and Publications for more details).
- The extended abstract published in the proceedings will not be included in the final conference program. Accordingly, it will not be considered for publication in the special issue(s) (see “Additional Information” below for more details).
Additional information
- To be included in the final conference program, at least one author of each accepted abstract must register online for in-person or virtual participation and pay the applicable registration fee by the relevant deadline (see Important Dates and the "Payment Terms" below for more details).
- To be considered for publication in the special issue(s), at least one author of each accepted abstract must present the work in person or virtually during the conference, allowing the session chairs to evaluate the presentation.
- Accepted extended abstracts may be published in the indexed conference proceedings without an in-person or virtual presentation. In this case, at least one author of each accepted extended abstract must register under Plan 3: Publication Only and pay the applicable publication fee by the relevant deadline (see Important Dates and the "Payment Terms" below for more details).
- If multiple abstracts by the same presenting author are accepted for presentation in the final conference program, an additional fee of €130 must be paid for each additional abstract.
- It is also possible to attend the conference, either in person or virtually, without submitting an abstract, by registering online and paying the applicable registration fee.
Payment terms

Payment of the registration fees can be made via the following methods (only after online
registration):
- Bank transfer.
- Online payment gateway (e.g. using a bank card).

It is crucial to specify the following as the purpose for the transaction when making your online
payment:
- MedGU 2026 (your full name and your registration number).
- On completion of your online registration, you will receive an order confirmation or proforma invoice in order to transfer the registration fee.
- For more details on how to pay the registration fees, please consult the proforma invoice or contact the conference manager by email: contact@medgu.org.
- For more information about the deadlines for online registration and payment for the conference and field trips, see Important Dates.
- Confirmation of conference registration (and for field trips) will only be guaranteed upon receipt of payment by the deadlines.
- Acceptance of your abstract and/or extended abstract in the conference program and/or proceedings, respectively, will only occur following online registration and payment.
- If you encounter any issues when paying online or if you cannot pay by the deadlines, please contact the conference manager by email: contact@medgu.org.
- After online registration and payment, the registration fee cannot be reimbursed.
